International Women"s Day – March 8

Let us begin with the customary Women’s Day, which falls on March 8. At first, the date was observed as a day of emancipation, solidarity, and freedom for women. Clara Zetkin suggested in 1910 that an international women’s day be declared on the calendar, enabling people to attend demonstrations and raise awareness of the struggles faced by women.

Since 1921, March 8 has been a recognized holiday in Russia; this approval came about as a result of the participation of women in the 1917 Petrograd demonstration. Only in 1966 did March 8 become a non-working day.

Although 40 countries celebrate the holiday today, not all states offer an official day off.

Household service workers – 3rd Sunday in March

Workers in housing and communal services are typically the only ones recognized on household service holidays. When it was first added to the "On holidays" decree in 1980, however, everyone who works in the household services industry—hairdressers, ateliers, and dry cleaners—celebrated it.

It is the right of all craftsmen providing domestic services to the general public to regard the third Sunday of March as a professional day.

  • In 2021 – March 21;
  • In 2022 – March 20;
  • In 2023 – March 19.

Beautiful Look Day – March 23

Unofficial holiday observed by lash artists and brow stylists. There was a noticeable tendency in Russia and Ukraine to celebrate it. Three years ago, a petition asking for the approval of the "Day of the Beautiful View" and the consolidation of loschmakers and armored vehicles in the official register of professions was posted on the well-known CHANGE petition website.

With 139 votes in favor of the petition, the masters’ requests were not granted. However, don’t forget to give the masters credit for their work on March 23 when they extended the lashes and designed the eyebrows; he will be happy.

Masters of manicure – March 24

Not a formal holiday, but more typical than the day of beauty. Professionals in manicures are already used to celebrating March 24 as a holiday, and they gladly accept greetings from friends, family, and coworkers on this auspicious day each year.

Regarding the statement made by the Russian president on May 16, 2018, that March 24 is the Day of the Master of Manicure.

Cosmetologists – April 7

Celebrated formally since 2009, the year that order No. 415n’s qualification requirements were established and the independent specialty "Cosmetology" was first registered.

Numerous large-scale gatherings, conferences, exhibits, and advanced training programs are frequently scheduled to fall on Cosmetologist Day. April 7 is not a day to relax, but to put in a lot of work and grow. Cosmetologists frequently plan events for their clients, such as discounted procedures and free consultations.

Massage therapists – 4th Sunday in April

The Day of the Massage Therapist was chosen by representatives of this profession, who now observe it annually. You can find information on joint get-togethers of massage therapists from various cities to celebrate April’s fourth Sunday on forums.

Apart from the massage therapist, the act of giving the massage also "celebrates". It is recommended that anyone who enjoys warming up schedule a visit with a specialist for this day, unless, of course, he has already left for the celebration in another city.

  • In 2021 – April 25;
  • In 2022 – April 24
  • In 2023 – April 23.

Lac Maniac Day – May 15

Women who merely adore nail art and manicures also selected their day. The holiday’s inception dates back to 2009, when a group of women who perform their own manicures got together on the then-well-liked LiveJournal website. Women shared their favorite nail polishes and life hacks on LiveJournal. Subsequently, women started ordering nail polishes online from overseas and offline meetings started.

Following the imposition of restrictions on nail polish orders by the British government in 2013, a member of the nail polish community launched her own online store, LakoDom, providing the same hard-to-find English nail polishes. The LakoDom website hosted a vote, and May 15 was selected as the day of the nail polish maniac.

Brunettes – May 28

Unlike blondes, all dark-haired women celebrate "Brunette Day," which was created. Although the originator of the celebration is unknown, women continue to congratulate themselves on creating such a lovely holiday.

Give each other and your clients congratulations; it makes no difference if the calendar shows a red date.

Blondes – May 31

Hairdressers can use this day for their own objectives; for instance, on May 31, they could offer a discount on blonde coloring or treat every client who is blonde.

There are two different accounts of the holiday’s beginnings. According to one, American attorneys defended the claims made on "Blondes Day" despite being shunned by their male colleagues. The other has to do with the movie "Legally Blonde" coming out.

Russia has been celebrating this since 2006.

World Beauty Day – September 9

Though it began a little earlier, in 1995, it has been celebrated in Russia since 1999. In the beauty industry, the powerful Committee of Esthetics and Cosmetology (CIDESCO) proposed the introduction of this kind of holiday. Then, September 9 evolved into a day to honor those who work in the beauty industry and to remember all that is lovely.

Observed in practically every nation on earth.

You can stay up to date on important dates and events in the beauty industry, such as international makeup days and skincare awareness weeks, by using a beauty holiday calendar. It’s a fantastic way to plan promotions, stay inspired, and build relationships with customers around popular beauty topics all year long.

Hairdressers – September 13

Although it is not a day off and is not state-approved, hairdressers have been honoring their professional day for nearly 20 years. Different cities have different celebration dates: some celebrate on September 13th, some on September 14th, and some even celebrate two hairdresser days in a row.

The exact identity of the initiator is unknown. At the same time, September 9 was also designated as "Stylist Day" until 2000, when hairdressers observed their professional holiday.
