Types of henna and the procedure for working with it

Furthermore, the range of shades available in synthetic henna is considerably greater than that of natural henna, which only comes in brown tones with hints of green.

Additionally, there’s a distinction in grinding:

Skin preparation

Prior to beginning the dye application:

Remove makeup. This can be done with micellar water or cleansing lotion;
Clean the place of future painting. For these purposes, eyebrow shampoo is used. Zola and CC brow have shampoo. Apply a small amount of shampoo to the hairs and lather with a round brush. Thoroughly work the hair and wash off the shampoo with a cotton pad soaked in water;
Peel. To do this, use a scrub that will remove small peelings and improve the penetration of the dye into the skin. Rub the scrub into the skin with massage movements. And then remove with a wet cotton pad and, if necessary, brush out the grains from the hairs with a brush.

Marking and sketch

Marking and drawing a sketch exactly matches the paint-dying method, just like the first step. We will just recapitulate how this is done here; there is a separate article about shapes and marking, so be sure to look at that.

Place the pencil to the wing of the nose so that its edge passes through the inner corner of the eye. Mark the point where the pencil points – this is how the base is determined;
Move the pencil, continuing to press it to the wing, drawing it across the edge of the iris from the outer corner. This will help you understand at what level the lift should be;
The last point will be the end of the eyebrow – draw the pencil from the nose through the outer corner of the eye.

You can now add the reference points after you have the markings:

The base or beginning of the eyebrow. Here, put two points – one at the level of maximum hair growth at the bridge of the nose, the second under it at the desired level – setting this point depends on the desired width;
Lift. An important rule – the upper point of the lift cannot be lower than the upper point of the base. The lower point should be higher than the lower base, but the narrowing should be gradual;

Well, and the end point – the place where the eyebrow will end. In theory, this point is already after the marking, so it can be adjusted and set to the same level with the top point of the base.

You can now use a white pencil or powder to join the dots. Draw thin lines with the pencil, attempting to hold it perpendicular to the skin. To remove a thick and uneven outline, use a straight brush dipped in micellar water.

For the second eyebrow, either follow the preceding instructions again or apply the dot transfer method along a horizontal axis. To ensure that all of the dots are the same height, move the dots from one eyebrow to the other using a long pencil or brush that is positioned perpendicular to the nose bridge.

Once the drawing is complete, use tweezers to trim any extra hairs that protrude past the outline.

Coloring

Henna needs to be diluted before applying.

The powder may have a different consistency after being diluted with regular water:

the thinner the dye, the lighter the final color will be;
if the henna is liquid – the consistency of liquid sour cream, then the coloring will be colder. If you make the dye more dense, then the undertone will be warm.

It is crucial to take into account the final mass’s consistency and to apply

thick work in the pouring technique – apply immediately in a thick layer.

After considering the subtleties, move on to coloring:

Take a little henna on a beveled flat brush and fill the lower cut by a few millimeters;

Repeat the application of henna in the upper and lower parts of the eyebrow, while leaving the middle empty;
Apply dye to the entire brow, leaving an unpainted square at the base;
Fill the remaining square with liquid henna. To do this, wet the brush with water and then pick up a little dye. Transfer the henna to the square and blend it in the direction of the rise. This technique will make the base light and the transition smooth;

Once the preceding four steps have been carried out, record the time. The desired level of coloring determines how long to expose an object for:

5 minutes – natural color;
7-9 – medium brightness;

10-15 minutes. Or until completely dry – bright.

Use water to rinse the dye off after the designated amount of time has elapsed. Please be aware that the eyebrows will naturally have a yellow-green tint right after washing them off. Everything will settle in ten to fifteen minutes, at which point you will only need to do the second eyebrow. A stabilizer can be used to develop the color if there is no time to wait.

Completion of the procedure

Once both eyebrows have been dyed, you must:

Make the final touches – remove hairs, if they are left somewhere;
Style the hairs using special soap or wax;

If the dye gets on the skin, remove it with a special remover. In general, if this happens, it is better to remove the marks immediately, before the pigment is absorbed into the skin and stains it.
