Pautinka gel and spider manicure

The ability of spider gel, also known as "pautinka gel," to create detailed and eye-catching designs has caused a stir in the nail art community. This special tool makes it possible to draw incredibly thin lines, which makes it ideal for creating geometric shapes, abstract art, and web-like patterns on nails.

Spider gel offers countless creative options for anyone interested in trying out nail art at home or for those who work as professional nail technicians. Its flexible consistency makes it simple to create intricate designs that are challenging to accomplish with conventional gel polish.

To help you add a distinctive touch to your nail designs, we’ll go over the fundamentals of using pautinka gel and offer advice on how to perfect the spider manicure technique in this article.

What is a spider gel

Pautinka gel painting is a nail art tool that looks like thick resin and needs to be dried under a UV lamp or in ice. This gel’s elastic texture makes it possible to draw slender, spider-web-like lines. Gel paint can be used to create abstract designs, volumetric patterns, and clear lines in addition to fine lines.

Spider web can be painted or varnished, depending on the manufacturer. For fine lines, some manufacturers just refer to it as gel polish. The names are confusing because of this. The primary feature is that spider web is a nail art dye with a thick, viscous consistency.

Benefits

  1. Ease of use. Gel spider web allows you to create amazing designs with a minimum of skills and without the use of specific tools;
  2. Saving time. Drawing patterns with a thin brush takes much longer than creating them with a viscous gel. The master reduces the time of the manicure procedure and can serve more clients.

Drawbacks:

  1. Palette. Almost all brands offer a small selection of colors. The market mainly offers black, white, gold and silver. Only a few brands offer colored web, for example, Lianail.

Spider manicure technology

To work, get ready:

  • Base and top;
  • Colored gel polish;
  • Gel paint "Web" of your favorite brand, for example, Masura;
  • Orange stick;
  • Manicure tools – milling cutter, pusher or any other familiar tool;
  • Cleanser;
  • Lint-free wipes.

Detailed instructions for applying a spider manicure:

  1. Do a manicure – classic, European or hardware;
  2. Prepare your nails – apply the base and color, drying each layer separately;
  3. If desired, make additional design, for example, with foil, glitter or stamping;
  4. Place the nail over the open jar of spider web gel. Take a little material with the sharp end of an orange stick and stretch it over the nail;
  5. Repeat the previous step until you get the desired pattern on your nail;
  6. Remove cobwebs from the skin using a lint-free napkin and cleanser;
  7. Dry the Spider Web in a LED lamp for 30-40 seconds, in a UV lamp – at least 90;
  8. Cover the nails with a top coat and dry again.

Geometric design

  1. Prepare the nail – cover with a base and color, drying each layer;
  2. Place the nail over the jar with the Spider Web gel, and use a thin brush to pick up some gel. Pull the stretchy thread through the center of the free edge;
  3. Repeat stretching the gel with a small indent from the first figure. The main thing is to move the stretchy line sharply so that the figure has an acute angle;
  4. After completing the drawing, dry it in the lamp for as long as required by the gel manufacturer – usually 60-120 seconds.;
  5. Cover the design with a top coat, dry and remove the sticky layer.

DIY spider web gel

Although there are many spider manicure gels on the market, you can create a homemade substitute. Of course, a home remedy like this isn’t appropriate for nail art, but it’s fine for familiarizing yourself with technology.

  1. Into the palette for mixing varnishes, drop 3-4 drops of gel paint or gel paste of the desired color. You can choose any brand, for example TNL. The denser the texture of the product, the better the spider web will turn out;
  2. Add 1-2 drops of PVA glue to the gel;
  3. Mix the resulting product and start your manicure.

Please be aware that the viscosity of the glue determines the quality of the final gel; the thicker the glue, the better. Simply pay attention to the list of the best-selling "Spiderweb" gel paints from the selection below if you don’t want to deal with the preparation.

The product’s manufacturer and the lamp’s power both affect how long things take to dry. A pattern no thicker than 1 mm only needs 60–90 seconds to complete.
